The Dream Team

Zaid Seddiqi

Founder & Creative Director

Zaid Seddiqi is a Dubai-born designer and the founder of Banou Studio, working between Dubai, London and Turin. He creates bespoke Hi-Fi speakers, listening rooms and sound installations for private clients, architects, hospitality venues and cultural institutions.

An architecture graduate of the University of Toronto, Zaid brings an architectural eye to sound: proportion, material and atmosphere matter as much as performance. His work draws on Emirati design language and experiments with materials such as DesertBoard, transforming recycled date-palm waste into sculptural high fidelity speakers with a distinctly regional identity.

His portfolio includes custom speakers for Porsche and Level Shoes, alongside work presented at the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Maison & Objet Paris and Dubai Design Week. Featured in Architectural Digest and selected as a Design Doha Prize finalist, his practice connects material exploration with the pleasure of listening.

Whether creating a private listening space or a public installation, his ambition is the same: to make sound a defining part of a place, and give people a reason to stay.

Chiara Cappellini

Project Director & Music Curator

Chiara Cappellini is the Project Director at Banou Studio, leading project delivery, cultural research, and sound curation. Performing internationally behind the decks as Little Hats, she brings over a decade of expertise as a DJ, selector, and event curator, bridging the gap between bespoke acoustic design and human connection.

Chiara was an early core member of Sisu, playing a key role in turning the UK initiative from a grassroots collective into a household name in music equity that collaborated with world-renowned institutions like The Barbican and The Courtauld Gallery. Operating across London, Abu Dhabi, and Turin, she has served as a cultural researcher for high profile non-profits and public organizations.

At Banou Studio, she translates her skills into a practice that curates sounds and builds culture for the community.
